The Collegia Extremis
In the forgeworld's of the Adeptus Mechanicus there is an unseen war. Hereteks, traitors, and xenos are an ever growing threat to the realms of the Omnissiah. The battles are often small skirmishes fought in the depths of the great forge complexes and they are fought by the Collegia Extremis. The Collegia Extremis is a secretive organization that exists outside the standard administrative hierarchy of the Adeptus Mechanicus of Mars. The Collegia Extremis acts as the secret police force of the Mechanicus, hunting down any and all of the myriad threats to the stability of the Omnissiah's realm; from the corruption caused by the Forces of Chaos, Hereteks, mutants and rebels, to assaults from vicious alien species like the Eldar, Necrons, and Orks.
Arion IV
Thousands of years of high industrial output and constant conflict have reduced the once beautiful Arion to a wasteland, with toxic oceans and atmosphere. It was colonized by the Mechanicum sometime during the Age of Srife by Explorator vessels from Phaeton, likely due to its high concentration of valuable ores. When rediscovered during the Great Crusade all life had been removed from the planet and it's forges sat empty. After a large conflict the planet was resettled and now produces war materials for the area.
Malichi Forge
Malachi Forge is the primary complex on Arion IV, it's upper forges reach high above the murky and toxic clouds of the world. Beneath the forge principal, lies the remains of the first Mechanicus settlement on the planet and it is known simply as the Underforge.
The Underforge is a dark, decrepit place filled with broken machinery and abandoned factories. It is home to all manners of mutants, xenos, and rejects. It is here, and places like it, that the Collegia Extremis usually operates.
